I love fall. I mean, I really love fall. I love the change in seasons, the crisp air, the colors, the clothes, and most of all the apple orchards and festivals.

I have always enjoyed the traditions of apples in the fall. Nothing beats fresh hot cider and cake donuts on a crisp fall day. Hamilton County has three great spots I enjoy: Stuckey Farm in Westfield/Sheridan, as well as Russell Farms and Spencer Farm in Noblesville. Stuckey Farm hosts a corn maze, wagon rides, and pig races (among LOTS of other activities). Russell Farms gives you the full farm experience with goats, turkeys, and horses alongside their pumpkin patch and country store. Spencer Farm is known for its amazing farm market, u-pick raspberries and pumpkins, and of course its winery.

You also can’t go wrong if you visit Fisher’s Conner Prairie. The Headless Horseman Festival is in its 40th year catering to young and old alike. The corn maze is the biggest in Hamilton County and the trail of terror had my friends screaming in fright, while I giggled my way through. The Haunted Hayride with cameos from the Headless Horsemen was fun and my friend’s kids really enjoyed the Magnificent Midway.

I’m looking forward to the Nickel Plate Express train ride to Arcadia’s Fall Market Festival on October 21. I’ve taken the train before and had a great time, but the festival is new to me. I’ll let you know about it through my social media!

If you are looking for a fun fall activity, VisitHamiltonCounty.com is a great place to start your planning. It’s how I found my way to all these great Hamilton County venues. I hope to see you out and about!
