HCLA Program Eligibility
AN APPLICANT MUST:
- Reside or work in Hamilton County.
- Commit to the program’s attendance requirements: a two-day opening retreat in August; one class day per month September through May, from 8:20am-4:30pm (missing no more than 16 hours of class time); a two-day closing retreat in June.
- Be able to pay program tuition in the amount of $2250. This can be paid by the individual, their employer, or a sponsor. There are also scholarships available to help defray the cost.
STRONG APPLICATIONS SHOULD:
- Articulate a desire to gain a deeper understanding of Hamilton County.
- Discuss what the applicant will bring to the cohort – what makes them stand out from the crowd.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and/or experience, both professionally and through volunteerism.
- Describe why the applicant wants to participate in HCLA and how they plan to use this experience to make an impact.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn, network, and engage with peers across Hamilton County.
