Mike Fry

What is your education and work history?

I have a degree in Business/Marketing from IU Bloomington. Throughout my career, I have worked to help either my employers or my clients to achieve business success through proper marketing strategies and programs.

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

18 Years

Tell us about your family.

I am married with two children. My wife, Jynene, works for UBS Financial Services in Indianapolis. My daughter is a freshman at Westfield High School and my son is a 7th grader at Westfield Middle School.

What is your favorite restaurant in Hamilton County?

10 West in Cicero

What is the last book you read (or your all-time favorite book)?

"Start With Why" - Simon Sinek

What or who inspires you?

People who are passionate... in anything they may be doing!

 

Mackenzie Poole

What is your education and work history?

I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2016 with a bachelors degree in nonprofit management through the school of public and environmental affairs. I'm currently thinking about returning to school to obtain my master's in nonprofit management.

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

I have lived and worked in Hamilton County for a year.

Tell us about your family.

I grew up with a two parent household and one older brother. I married my husband, Isaac, in September of 2017 and we have a goldendoodle Winston.

What is your favorite restaurant in Hamilton County?

Bru Burger!

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Anything that is made from a potato, I could eat fries for every meal.

Do you have a favorite movie or TV show?

New Girl

 

Derek McMichael

What is your education and work history?

Butler University - Doctor of Pharmacy degree 2005 and MBA 2012

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

6 years

Tell us about your family.

I have a wonderful wife Laura. We married in September 2015. We have a daughter, Finley that was born in March 2017. We also have 2 dogs, Brewster and Shiloh that turned 4 in August.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

We like to take Finley to Conner Prairie to see the animals and play in the big tree house.

What is your favorite restaurant in Hamilton County?

The Roost has the best breakfast!

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I love steak!

 

Jeff Steeg

What is your education and work history?

Tell us about your family.

My wife (Sarah) and I met our Freshman year of college at IU and have been married for 11 years (July 7, 2007...Lucky 7's!). We have two children (Brecken-8, Charlotte-5) and two Goldendoodles, Wrigley and Ivy (Go Cubs!). We have been in Westfield since we moved down from Fort Wayne, and have become active with WYSA/WYSI sports as the kids have gotten into them (Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer so far). My wife is a Professional Mom, Substitute Teacher at Washington Woods, and Shipt shopper in the area. She has a degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana and worked as a Developmental Coordinator for CANI/Head Start in Fort Wayne prior to moving down here. I am originally from Fort Wayne (R. Nelson Snider-Class of 2003) and most of my family still resides there. Sarah (Carmel-Class of 2003) is originally from Tennessee, but her family has resided in Carmel since 1996. We pull for the home town teams (Colts, Pacers, Hoosiers) and the not-so hometown teams (Cubs, Fort Wayne Komets, and Fort Wayne Mad Ants). In my free time I enjoy playing golf and the occasional church pickup basketball game.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

We spend a lot of time at Grand Park in the summers, and every time we are there it still amazes me that this is what our children get to experience as they learn the game.

What or who inspires you?

My parents. They established early on that dedication to your family, a strong work ethic, and a focus on the betterment of those around you are the key to a fulfilling life.

What is one thing we would be surprised to know about you?

I have driven an Indy Car and I have only missed 1 Indy 500 since I began attending at the age of 8 (my dad only missed 3 over a 37 year period).

 

Rebecca McGuckin

What is your education and work history?

Classroom teacher, adjunct professor & literacy coach, current office work part-time, yoga teacher & community volunteer. Masters in Education, undergraduate in teaching English, speech, theater, communications, RYT 200

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

24 years total

Tell us about your family.

Husband Brian, photographer & teacher. Daughter Elizabeth (16). Sons Charlie (13), AJ (11) and Asa (8), dog & rabbit.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

I love biking to the pond near the Monon Center and walking along the wooden path.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Avocado

What or who inspires you?

I’m inspired by quiet time spent reading, journaling and reflecting. Who/what I am reading directs it.

 

Gary Sexton

What is your education and work history?

I graduated from Indiana University in 1987. My work experience is varied with a role as a manufacturers sales rep, process engineer for Carrier Corp, operations management for other manufacturers and fabricators. Currently, I have built and operate five Sport Clips Haircuts.

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

20 years.

Tell us about your family.

Wife, Beth, of 30 years. Three daughters (26, 24, 20).

What is your favorite restaurant in Hamilton County?

Not a fair question. Last week, I had an amazing breakfast at Rad's on 126th and Gray Rd.

What is the last book you read (or your all-time favorite book)?

The E-Myth

What is one thing we would be surprised to know about you?

I'm learning ballroom dance for my daughter's wedding.
