Each month, we get to know leaders from the Class of 2019. This month, our leaders are (L to R): Steve Sneath, Mike Daugherty, Carla Hill, Melanie Brewer and Todd Dailey.

 

 

 

 

Steve Sneath

What is your education and work history?

I have a Bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of Kansas. I have a varied work history that includes campus recreation, general management, sales and business/partnership development.

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

I have lived in Hamilton County for 16 years

Tell us about your family.

I've been married for 25 years to my lovely incredible wife, Karyn. We have 1 daughter, Skyler. She is 14 years old and a freshman at Westfield High School.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

I love to be outdoors...golfing or enjoying many of the beautiful parks and green spaces.

What is your favorite restaurant in Hamilton County?

Lots of good restaurants, but I think I'd go with Omani Grill if I had to pick one.

What is one thing we would be surprised to know about you?

I once got a concussion from a first aid kit. Yup, true story.

 

Mike Daugherty

What is your education and work history?

I have worked in the financial services industry for the past 20 years. I have specialized in working with high net worth families for the past 13 years.

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

I have lived in HC for 15 years.

Tell us about your family.

My parents live in Zionsville and I am not married and do not have children.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

I enjoy HC's parks. Especially Coxhall Gardens. The grounds and bell towers are wonderful.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Italian

Do you have a favorite movie or TV show?

Seinfeld.

 

Carla Hill

What is your education and work history?

BS from IU - Bloomington. MBA from St. Mary's College, Moraga, CA. Steelcase 17 yrs, Business Furniture 7 yrs, BSA 1.5 yrs.

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

20 years.

Tell us about your family.

My husband and I have a son named Wesley who is 17.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

Geist Reservoir is our backyard playground and we love TopGolf, IKEA and Hamilton Town Center.

What or who inspires you?

My team at work! They are amazing, gifted architects, engineers and interior designers. They never cease to inspire me to do my best work.

What is one thing we would be surprised to know about you?

I was home schooled and have visited 48 states.

 

Melanie Brewer

What is your education and work history?

Ben Davis High School Grad. Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University. Server and Bartender through college. City of Carmel, Community Relations, since June 2005

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

I've worked in Carmel for 14 years.

Tell us about your family.

Married to Marc Brewer and we have two adorable, rambunctious boxer mixes, Josie and Emma. Both rescues.

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

The Palladium would be my first pick. But overall, I love exploring new restaurants and shops that open in Carmel and Fishers. I also enjoy Morse Lake in the summer.

What is your favorite restaurant in Hamilton County?

Donatello's in Carmel for dinner, Bub's Burgers for lunch and Louvino in Fishers for brunch.

What is the last book you read (or your all-time favorite book)?

Big Little Lies

 

Todd Dailey

What is your education and work history?

Went to Marion High School in Marion, IN, followed by an undergrad degree at Purdue's Krannert School of Management (major in business management, minors in MIS and Finance). MBA at IU's Kelley School through an evening program. Worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance in IT for 11 years, just recently went downstream in the insurance industry to an insurance agent located here in central Indiana (Insurance Management Group).

How long have you lived or worked in Hamilton County?

10 years.

Tell us about your family.

Wife Jenna who I met at Liberty Mutual when we started there together in 2007. 2 boys (Noah, 4; Oliver, 2) and a dog Ellie (9). The boys are polar opposites. Noah is a kind-hearted sensitive kid and Oliver is the wild child (we think it is the red hair).

What is your favorite thing to do or place to visit in Hamilton County?

Carmel Farmer's Market is a staple family tradition on Saturday mornings.

What is the last book you read (or your all-time favorite book)?

Peak Performance

What is one thing we would be surprised to know about you?

I qualified for and ran the Boston marathon earlier this year.
