    About
HCLA's Backstage Pass Series presented by Church Church Hittle + Antrim is back in 2019 with a visit to the Indiana IoT Lab in Fishers. Since opening in 2018, this innovative, niche co-working space focused on the Internet of Things is building connections between established Indiana industries and local tech companies specializing in IoT. The Lab has nearly sold out its space with more than 17 companies, alongside freelancers and entrepreneurs. The IoT Lab is the first of its kind in the region and is another key asset to Fishers' vision of being the entrepreneurial hub of Indiana.

The IoT Lab is for members only. As part of HCLA's exclusive access for alumni, you will have an opportunity to tour this private space. Then we will convene a fireside chat to hear the story of the IoT Lab and how it's changing the ecosystem in Indiana. Indiana IoT Lab Founder and CEO John Wechsler & Executive Director Jason Pennington will be our hosts for the evening. There will be several special guests on hand to share their personal stories as well.

The future of technology and business is evolving in our backyard. Whether you are a technophile or technophobe you will be amazed by this space. See you there!

    About
HCLA is launching its Community Conversation Series focused on a major topic in Hamilton County, workforce. With an unemployment rate of 2.6%, companies and organizations are struggling to find people to fill open positions.

There's a common refrain, "We just can't find [good, qualified, dependable] people."

Our conversation will center around the idea of Alternative Workforce. Are there populations of people who are willing and able to work who are consistently passed over for opportunities? What are the common myths and misconceptions that may hinder their job search? How do we begin to re-frame our knowledge and understanding to tap into the vast potential of an Alternative Workforce.

Join us for a catered lunch courtesy of Janus Developmental Services and engage in a dialogue around Alternative Workforce.

    The discussion will include:
    - Dan Clark, President - Ivy Tech Noblesville
    - Leigh Ann Lloyd, Ticket to Work Consultant - Noble, Inc.
    - Kelly Gunn, Project Manager - TOWER Program
    - Lauren Guynn, Executive Director - Shepherd's Center of Hamilton County
    - Alaina Shonkwiler (Class of 2013), Workforce Development Coordinator - Noblesville Schools
