About Matt MacBeth
Matt has been preparing for his role of pi lab CEO, which created the world's favorite internet connected duck - Edwin the Duck, since he received his first box of Legos. His favorite toy not only taught him lessons in sharing and patience, but gave him a freakishly strong background in physics and engineering as well. This subsequently led to mad skills in product development, testing, procurement, inventory control and creative problem solving.
His first job application was submitted at the age 7 to the Lego corporation. While waiting on that interview call, Matt completed elementary school, high school, designed several electronics products having sold in excess of one million units and has over 1 million app downloads on the iTunes Store. Matt is now looking to create the next generation of educational products.

HCLA Backstage Pass: Sun King Spirits presented by Church Church Hittle + Antrim
HCLA's Backstage Pass Series presented by Church Church Hittle + Antrim races into fall with a visit to Sun King Spirits in Carmel. This new 15,000 square foot, $5 million project is one of the pillars of the new Midtown development and the latest endeavor for one of Indiana's largest breweries. The architecture evokes a classic industrial warehouse theme true to the roots of the neighborhood, which was originally a railroad stop along the Monon. Beyond Sun King's beer, the taproom includes seasonal spirits and features a "food hall" style format with local Indiana food vendors.
As part of HCLA's exclusive access for alumni, you will have an opportunity to check out the space before heading to a private room for the evening's program. Sun King co-founder and head brewer Dave Colt will share the Sun King story and explain the decision to dive into distilling spirits. He'll reveal the reasons for locating in Carmel and future plans for Hamilton County. After the program ends, stick around and mingle with other HCLA alumni.
Whether you are a Sun King regular or newbie, this event won't disappoint. See you there!
NOTE: THIS EVENT IS EXCLUSIVE TO HCLA ALUMNI ONLY
